Signals
Every day the rollup is scanned for things worth a second look: outsized price moves, hashrate records, transaction spikes, unusual pool flows, funding swings. Each signal links to the chart it was detected on. Rules are fixed and run identically over history, so the feed is auditable rather than curated.
Most rules compare today against a trailing 30-day window and fire when the value sits more than a fixed number of standard deviations (σ) from that window's mean. The threshold differs per metric: hashrate needs 2σ, transactions 2.5σ, fully-shielded transactions 3σ.
Record rules fire on a fresh all-time high for price or hashrate, ignoring the first year after launch where every day was a record. Percentage rules fire on single-day moves beyond 7% (price) or 8% (ZEC/BTC).
A weekly digest is written every seventh day regardless of what happened, so quiet weeks still leave a trace.
