ZEC market cap = node-measured issued supply × real ZEC/USD. BTC market cap = Bitcoin's real circulating supply (deterministic issuance schedule) × real BTC/USD. Both series are measured; only BTC's supply comes from a fixed schedule.

Log scale so both fit. The gap is the size difference; the slope difference is who is gaining. ZEC is a small fraction of BTC — see the ratio chart for how that fraction has moved.
